A-WEB and the Warning of a "Tholian Web"

Juan O Savin appeared on Michael Jaco's YouTube channel (MichaelKJaco) and compared A-WEB (the Association of World Election Bodies) to the "Tholian web of containment" from Star Trek. Just as the Tholians wove a web around a starship to trap it, he argued that A-WEB is using its network spanning 111 countries and 121 bodies to seize control of elections worldwide. He cited Spock's warning in the show that "if they complete the web, we will not be able to escape it," using that logic to explain the urgency of confronting A-WEB before it could fully close in.

At the Freedom and Innovation Party Tuesday National Prayer Meeting, former U.S. Ambassador-at-Large Morse H. Tan explained why he came to South Korea despite the risks.

He said he did not come for publicity or personal gain, but out of obedience to God and a sense of calling.

When speaking about North Korea, Tan paused as he became visibly emotional. He said his concern for the Korean Peninsula is not merely academic research, but a calling that has shaped much of his life and work.

He prayed for the reunification of North and South Korea, for the end of oppression and injustice, and for a united Korea to become a beacon of faith across Asia.

Tan closed with a simple message to the Korean people:

"Keep praying. Keep fighting."

저는 스웨덴 사람이고, 한국 국적도 없고, 한국 선거에서 투표도 할 수 없어요. 그래서 누군가는 여기 댓글창에서 분명히 말할 수 있어요.

"헨리야, 너 그냥 빠져."

그런데 저는 이렇게 말하고 싶어요. 제가 한국 가까이에서 살게 되면서 한국을 더 존중하게 된 이유가 바로 이것 때문이었어요. 한국 사람들은 가만히 당하는 사람들이 아니었어요. 억울하면 말하고, 이상하면 따지고, 답답하면 거리로 나가고, 나라가 잘못하고 있다고 생각하면 그냥 넘기지 않았어요.

그게 멋있었어요. 정말 멋있어요, 여러분.
그게 제가 한국을 존중하게 된 이유였어요.

그러니까 제발 이 문제를 좌우의 싸움으로만 만들지 마세요. 이건 누구 편을 드는 영상도 아니고, 저는 누구를 찍으라고 말하는 것도 아니에요. 누구를 미워하라고 말하는 것도 솔직히 아니에요.

제가 말하고 싶은 건 훨씬 단순해요.

투표하고 싶었던 국민은 투표할 수 있어야 해요. 모든 표는 공정하게 집계되어야 해요. 문제가 있었다면 설명해야 해요.
책임질 일이 있다면 책임져야 해요. 그리고 국민은 끝까지 물어볼 권리가 있어요.
이걸 잃으면 여러분, 진짜 큰일이에요.

돈이 많아도, 건물이 높아도, 지하철이 빨라도, 배달이 빨라도, K-팝이 세계 1등이어도 국민이 자기 목소리를 잃으면 그 나라는 껍데기예요.

겉은 화려하지만 속은 비어 있는 나라가 되는 거예요.
그러니까 투표권을 절대 당연하게 여기지 마세요. 표현의 자유를 당연하게 여기지 마세요. 정부를 비판할 권리를 당연하게 여기지 마세요.

오늘 귀찮아서 넘긴 권리는 내일 누군가가 조용히 가져갈 수 있어요. 그리고 그때 와서 "제발 돌려주세요"라고 말해도 이미 너무 늦을 수 있어요.

민주주의는 조용한 사람에게 선물처럼 주어지는 것이 아니에요. 끝까지 목소리를 내며 지키는 사람들만이 누릴 수 있는 것입니다.

Thousands of Koreans gather in Jamsil Seoul South Korea to protest the recent election where certain precincts ran out of ballots, preventing some citizens from casting their votes.

Everyone is chanting “재선거” or “re-election. “

It was an absolutely fascinating experience.

Almost zero police presence, yet completely peaceful and patriotic.

Volunteers everywhere to assist with traffic, picking up trash and giving away free snacks, drinks and handmade signs.

The entire place was filled with families and friends ranging all ages, but noticeably screwing young in age, 20s-30s.

I’ve been to countless political protests and rallies in the US over the years.

What I witnessed today was truly special.

I am in great favor for people’s right to protest their governments as a form of relaying their grievances.

“Observing Being Observed in Korea”

I’m here in South Korea to observe their “election” and to contribute my election expertise to the analysis teams. They’ve had two days of early voting, and tomorrow is Election Day.

I’ve had multiple meetings with officials, given a formal presentation for the media and dozens of podcasters, and visited multiple sites around the country related to their elections.

At each site we record interviews. It is obvious that the election officials don’t like me here. As soon as we arrive several worried managers will emerge from the various buildings and begin pacing around on cell phone calls. Soon after, multiple police begin to arrive and the citizens scurry away.

The citizens behave like they are afraid, and the officials behave like they have something to hide.

Today, we visited the central ballot counting facility for the largest province. We’d called ahead and were given permission to inspect their operations. However, when we arrived there was obvious panic and we were not allowed entry.

Nevertheless, I saw plenty.

Kinda feels like I’m in Colorado.

The coup forces have treated a true soldier who served for 27 years in the special mission unit as if he were someone who had never even performed his military service.

Incheon Gyeyang-eul, where Song Young-gil of the Democratic Party served five terms and Lee Jae-myung held office, is said to be the most underdeveloped area in Incheon.

Could this not be a major opportunity for the residents of Incheon Gyeyang-eul?
