EXPOSING the real reason why Indian cricket broadcast suck :
Let’s compare BCCI with Cricket Australia because this is where the entire truth becomes clear.
CA broadcasts every home match in native 4K HDR, while BCCI still delivers India’s home cricket in old 1080i HD. CA uses smooth progressive 50p motion. BCCI still uses interlaced video that looks soft and shaky. CA’s OB trucks run modern 12G SDI and IP systems built for 4K. BCCI still relies on older HD flypacks designed more than a decade ago.
CA uses Sony HDC 4300 and 5500 cameras that shoot true 4K and high speed slow motion at 300 fps. BCCI’s cameras are older HD models with softer lenses and lower frame rates. CA even uses a 600 fps ultra motion camera. Many BCCI series do not have one at all.
CA tracks seam and swing using a six camera high speed system. BCCI uses fewer angles and slower sampling, which is why the ball tracking often looks flat or inaccurate. CA also has a 100 camera 360 degree replay system. India relies on basic HD replays from limited angles.
CA has larger and more specialised crews for shading, replay, camera operations and engineering. BCCI runs smaller teams, which affects replay quality, color consistency and camera control.
CA’s color work is cleaner because they grade everything in HDR. BCCI works in SDR which crushes shadows and blows out highlights. CA outputs a clean master feed. BCCI outputs a compressed 1080i feed that already loses detail before it reaches TV channels or apps.
CA also spends more time testing cameras, angles and setups before a match. BCCI calibration is often rushed, which shows on screen.
And here is the biggest proof. When ICC produced the 2023 World Cup inside India, the same stadiums suddenly looked sharper and far more professional. Same venue. Same weather. Only the production changed.
In short,CA spends far more per match on better equipment and bigger crews, while BCCI spends far less despite getting 40% of ICC revenue, 720 Million from home media rights and whopping 6 billion dollars from IPL media rights , still does not invest in modern broadcast infrastructure and doesn't care about fans.
Indian fans and Indian cricket deserve much better than this..!
@IndianGems_ The result of honesty in this country is that the Recondo never got any other contract after constructing JM Road.
Shows why India couldn’t developed. Bcoz corruption runs in our blood.
@IndianGems_ This road is made by Recondo, a Mumbai based company run by two Parsi brothers.
the fun fact is, they didn't get any contract in india after this.
And, you can imagine, why? 🤡
When GST is increased: the firms pass on the base price + GST increase on the customers.
When GST is reduced: the firms will increase the base price + add the reduced GST & customers will pay the same price.
After years of lies about the economy growing at an explosive rate & excuses on slowing GST collections - a cash strapped Govt is now wringing the life out of the last available avenues. (Watching the drama unfold with 18% GST wala caramel popcorn in hand)
What next for Tai after this?
A modern version of Jizya Tax where minorities will have to pay protection money for safety??.... you never know.
In India, you can pay taxes for 20 years. But, if you lose your job at 50, you might come on road.
And, will get no help.
Therefore: 55% taxation in a Scandinavian country is better than 40% taxation in India (reason: in Scandinavia- healthcare, education, social security etc is there)
@deepigoyal Not much experience, 20 lakhs + no salary.. sounds like a fresher or thereabouts with minimal experience ... What a PR! another ghost job paaji!
In Karnataka, Congress is busier in intra-party politics and loot instead of even bothering to deliver on development. Not only that, they are also going to rollback existing schemes.
In Himachal Pradesh, salaries of Government workers is not paid on time. In Telangana, farmers are waiting for the waiver they promised.
Previously, in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan they promised certain allowances which were never implemented for five years. There are numerous such examples of how the Congress works.
