Guidance - Must Read, this message has only reached you by the the will of God

“He may guide you, and then you fail to fulfill the duty that such guidance demands - gratitude, and deeds that live up to it - so He strips it away from you. Such was the man to whom God granted His signs, “but he cast them off, so Satan pursued him, and he became one of those who go astray”!

The servant of a delicate, finely-attuned spirit discerns the guidances of God Almighty. He knows that the whole universe is subject to its Lord, that God may guide him by anything in His creation - and may lead astray, God forbid, by anything in His creation!

And He, Glorified is He, leads none astray save the one who has shut his heart against guidance and the religion of truth.

So: to lose this life, if guidance from Him never reaches you, is a calamity graver than being lost in the trackless wilderness of the desert. We would then dwell in an estrangement harsher than that of a bird who has lost its flock in the depth of winter, when the snows resolve to swallow up its soaring dreams!

O God, grant us a guidance from You that rescues us from the desert of wandering, that brings us home to You, and through which You admit us into a Paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth.”

The sheikh at our masjid gave us a beautiful khutbah yesterday

It was how you can do everything in your power to ensure you want to get to a certain place or acomplish a certain goal, but if God did not will it for you to happen at that moment then it will not happen

The key he mentioned was to ensure you continue to do the right things day in and day out, regardless of the hurdles you face because as a human that is all you can do

Some people are blessed with extraordinary "luck" and get things to go their way instantly

But if you are truly determined with a goal in sight, then all you can do is try your best

Consistency with your prayer, with your work regardless of whatever circumstances you are in, will be most beneficial for you

I ask God to give us the strength to strive to do our best, put sincerity in what we do and he answer our prayers

This morning when I wanted to have my Friday shower

The heat was accidentally set at a high level and I turned it on without paying attention

Almost burnt my entire body, was brutal

Made me think how bad Hell is, and how insignificant all the desires we do to sin is because the moment the water touched me I would’ve sacrificed all sins I’ve ever done to not feel it for even a moment

Now imagine jahannam, exponentially hotter and worse , for an eternity, you beg for relief w anyway you can

“Let us out we’d do better” -> “just lighten it for a day” -> “just let us die” -> “our Lord take us out”

Each request smaller and more desperate than the last, and each one denied, until the final command cuts off all further appeal

“Allah will respond, “Be despised in there! Do not ˹ever˺ plead with Me ˹again˺!”

All of this is inevitable and will happen without a single doubt

Was the sin and disobedience really worth it? Was staying silent against oppression really worth it? Was that gaze or 15 minute of pleasure worth it? Was delaying the prayer for a few minutes or hours of fake rest worth it?

Was refusing to sell your temporary ice cubes bound to melt (this life) in return for a paradise as wide as the heavens and earth and the pleasure of your Creator worth it?

Everything perishes, except your deeds
