Dr. @MicheleLeeKoz, @RellEmalie, and @ModrakEmily had the opportunity to meet and talk with @Piper this afternoon at the “Maze of Injustice: Incarceration in Small & Rural America” organized by @verainstitute. They discussed criminal justice programs and ideas for the future.
Emalie Rell, a rising senior was honored by @ICPSR for a research paper she published on sex education. Learn more about Rell's achievement here: https://t.co/fWWsLwv6EU
Congratulations @RellEmalie! #etown2020
Regardless of your personal beliefs, no politician—Republican or Democrat—has the right to control women’s bodies or involve themselves in women’s health care decisions. Governor John Bel Edwards is turning his back on Louisiana women by signing this shameful bill.
Ending the semester talking about Divorce and Dissolution of Marriage. Definitely an interesting one... suggest watching Divorce Corp. on amazon prime #etownmarfam
Not only is today my last class of my undergraduate career, it is the last class of Marriage and Family. I have learned so much this semester!! So grateful that I was able to take this class #PaidLeave#endchildmarriage#SeekingSisterWife#etownmarfam
I lectured on socialization and the life course this past week. I told my students how my wife has never washed my clothes & that I normally wash my boys’ clothes. As I looked at my students’ shocked faces, I said:
“I’m a grown man. I can wash my own clothes and you should too.”
This relates what we were discussing in class today. Just because women have children doesn’t mean that they are not serious about their career path #etownmarfam
I was mid-PhD when I found out I was pregnant with our 2nd boy.
I was embarrassed to tell my supervisors, I said “you must think I’m not serious about my PhD.”
My supervisor slammed his laptop shut, looked at me and said “Never for a second.”
#kindness got me here

Lots of talk about juggling today in my classes, especially in marriage and family. There are so many things to juggle and makes me think how much I really do in my everyday life #etownmarfam
I don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t find my mentor. She is one of the most caring and dedicated people I know and I am forever grateful for everything she has done for me @MicheleLeeKoz you are truly the best
Paid family leave should be a no brainer. It is a NECESSITY for both men and women in the United States. You never know what is going to happen #EtownMarFam
In HS, girls and guys would refer to themselves as brother and sister if they were best friends. I’m curious how you all feel about this concept as adults, specifically if in a marriage… https://t.co/Bf1mJ0YVFC
