@KatjaInTheAct@EtienneTheWolf@Transgendertrd Completely fine, an entirely reasonable exception. Sex of pupils would likely be clear. Iโm concerned about pupils โliving in stealthโ as per KCSIE draft. Pupils, parents and staff likely unaware. Massive safeguarding issues.
@Transgendertrd Yes, my understanding was that it was to allow e.g. the daughters of teachers at an all boys independent school without a reciprocal fee agreement with a girls school to be educated close to home. Or where specialist subject teaching otherwise wouldnโt be viable.
@nportocarero@KingBobIIV And those interviewed (online) as part of the admissions process may well still be 17. A female relative of mine had exactly this experience. Fortunately she had googled him in advance so knew what to expect.
@RunningWomanXX@Transgendertrd Yes, I agree. Receptionist I spoke to said I was the first person to have ever raised it but did say she would take to Practice Manager. I make a point of speaking to someone about this every time I come across it. If not me, then who, right?
@RunningWomanXX@Transgendertrd Completely agree but 18 yr old daughter doesnโt want to make a fuss. I made a withheld number call to the practice and, as gently as I could, pointed out that it didnโt exactly instill confidence as a parent sending a young adult away to university.
@Transgendertrd Rather concerningly Durham Universityโs medical centre registration form asks for gender identity - male, female, non-binary, prefer not to say - and whether this is the same as that assigned at birth - yes, no, prefer not to say. No question about sex.
@JeanHatchet@defiantwhinger Thank you. It was on a flagpole so I pointed out it needed planning permission, which they didnโt have. I offered to explain in person it was completely inappropriate, but they didnโt take me up on that. The colleague who put it up was very cross but no sign of it this year!
@SexMattersOrg@HJoyceGender@TalkTV Some signs of hope? Daughterโs university accommodation form application back in July included this question and qualifier.
