Use Amazon CloudWatch to consolidate hybrid, multicloud, and on-premises metrics https://t.co/D6o6wg9kfY #AWS #reInvent #Observability #o11y #Serverless

[Danilo Poccia @danilop]

Each connector is a Lambda function that CloudWatch invokes as needed to return metrics immediately.

These days, few enterprises have just one #cloud. Instead, they have a cloud estate that spans #hybridcloud, #multicloud, and on-premises data sources.

Now #AWS #CloudWatch will “query, visualize, and alarm on any and all of the metrics”, whatever their source.

On top of a live, unified view, this new feature can help identify trends and issues that span multiple clouds and infrastructure silos.

@jeffbarr has the goods here as well:

You can now run your AWS Lambda functions on Graviton 2 processors! "Lambda functions using the Arm/Graviton2 architecture provide up to 34 percent price performance improvement." https://t.co/BDztztjsWu

Finally, Arm support in Lambda functions.

Let's be clear here: I don't give a crap about the Lambda cost, I care about the architectural differences between where I develop and where I deploy.
