We extend our sincere gratitude to the people and government of @Israel for the warm welcome and hospitality shown to the President H.E @Abdirahmanirro This visit marks an important step toward strengthening friendship, mutual understanding, and cooperation between our peoples.
🇮🇱 ❤️ SOMALILAND—“For Somaliland, this may be the beginning of a historic breakthrough. For Israel, this is a rare strategic opportunity where the Middle East, Africa, and the Red Sea meet.”
Arab Affairs Analyst Ahikam Himmelfarb (@Ahikam20) reports from Somaliland’s 35th Independence Day celebrations, describing an “electric” atmosphere as an Israeli delegation was welcomed as guests of honor.

I was delighted to receive the first-ever Ambassador of Somaliland to Israel, Mohamed Hagi, who presented his diplomatic credentials this morning.
Ambassador Hagi was kind enough to praise our orchestra, who played the national anthem of Somaliland for the first time ever in Israel.
This important new partnership
between our nations will bring a shared future of cooperation in a range of fields to the benefit of both our peoples and the entire region.
The future of every nation is written by its coming generation.
If we educate them, guide them, and invest in them today, they will build stronger economies, safer societies, and better leadership tomorrow. 🌍
Somaliland future is brighter!!.
🤝SOMALILAND ALREADY A GREAT ALLY!
Senior U.S. officials visited Somaliland, meeting with AFRICOM leadership to discuss regional threats and strategy.
Somaliland officials emphasized that “control in the vicinity of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and the Red Sea could significantly reshape the U.S. approach to dealing with the Houthis and Iran.”
They also expressed openness to supporting U.S.—and potentially Israeli—operations against the Houthis terrorists.
Somaliland’s strategic position is increasingly seen as a key operational hub amid rising tensions and concerns over instability in the Strait of Hormuz.

A strong army means a secure nation.
Victory to the Somaliland National Army ✊
Stop spreading lies. Somalilanders are NOT confused.
Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Irro) is the democratically elected President of Somaliland. Sheikh Mustafa is a religious scholar, not a political option.
We know the difference between the ballot box and the pulpit.
@Presidencysl_@Abdirahmanirro@Abdirahmanirro Our heartfelt thanks to President for listening to the people, promoting reconciliation, and working toward a stable and inclusive future for all citizens.
Video from the siege of Sheikh Maqsoud: a jihadist abusing a Kurdish woman, calling her a “PKK pig.”
These are ISIS/Nusra/al-Qaeda offshoots now presented as Syrian government forces.
Western media calls this “clashes,” despite a declared siege and ultimatum.
The same Kurdish women once celebrated for defeating ISIS are now being sacrificed for political convenience.
#Syria 🇸🇾: Kurdish Asayish fighters in Sheikh Maqsoud, #Aleppo announced that they refuse to leave and will fight against Syrian Army (former #HTS).
Fighters are armed with #Croatia-made 🇭🇷 RBG-6 grenade launcher, #USA-made 🇺🇸 M4A1 carbines, M16A4 rifle and AK-74M rifle, PKM machine guns and AKM rifles.
Djibouti’s political reality reflects a delicate balance: a small geographic area dominated by the Issa clan governs a country where Afar and other Somali communities form a significant majority. Long-term stability in Djibouti depends on fair and inclusive representation.
Somalia's former Foreign Minister discusses how Berbera's strategic location and airfield helped Somali cities throughout the 1970s-1980s, when both the Soviet Union and the US used the facility. In exchange, they requested infrastructure development in other cities, with Berbera
We welcome and appreciate the State of Israel’s decision to recognize the @Republic_Of_SL . This step reflects a commitment to dialogue, cooperation, and regional stability.
Somalia’s 2025 budget is still heavily dependent on international aid — 67% of its revenue comes from external partners.
Meanwhile, Somaliland funds 92% of its own budget through domestic revenue.
Two systems, two trajectories: one reliant on donors, the other powered from within
