Your query isn't slow because of your server. Your database is reading every row.
An index (a B-tree) lets it jump straight to the match:
CREATE INDEX idx_users_email ON users (email);
Index what you filter on. Too many slow down writes.

@tevvio Big round for an AI-guided pipeline. Which stage of development do you think AI will shorten most: target selection, preclinical, or trial design?
@JUrology Interesting result. How well does the urinary proteome signature hold up across age groups, and is it ready for validation in a larger cohort?
@dantawfik Fascinating. Is the selectivity coming mainly from specific receptor adaptors, and how well can current proteomics resolve those at the synapse level?
@cyberprince_rwo A Human Proteoform Project sounds ambitious. Do you think current top-down MS can scale to that, or does it depend on new instrumentation?
@DamonNelson Interesting move. For drug discovery, do you think the bigger bottleneck for LLMs will be validating target predictions or integrating messy experimental data?
@sarbjeetjohal Agreed that the fundamentals carry over. Do you think MCP servers need their own authorization model, or is reusing existing API auth enough?
@k12techtalkpod Such a useful story to revisit. What was the first thing the district changed in its recovery plan to protect student data going forward?
@aayushmandrakar Good reminder. Do you find retrieval practice (self-testing) works better than rereading notes for retention, even within that 24-hour window?
@LC_GC Interesting point about quantification being the bottleneck. Is it mainly the lack of internal standards for imaging, or matrix effects across tissue regions?
Why does your app make 5 API calls for 1 screen?
REST: many endpoints, HTTP verbs, easy caching, but over/under-fetching.
GraphQL: one endpoint, exact fields, nested data in 1 trip, but harder caching + depth limits needed.
Neither always wins: pick per use case.

@BOSS306@YouTube Adaptive feedback loops sound promising for personalization. How would you keep the system from just reinforcing a student's existing gaps?
