While every employee segment received salaries before #Eid, Vocational Trainers in J&K are once again left unpaid.

The MoU signed with #VTPs under #SamagraShiksha clearly mandates timely salary disbursement—yet this has been consistently neglected for the past 10 years.

#VTPs were entrusted with many responsibilities, & they’ve failed in all.
We ask: Can they at least fulfill this one—release our rightful salaries on Eid?

We urge Shri Bhawani Rakwal Ji, Project Director, @JKSamagra to intervene & uphold the dignity of those who empower students through skill education.

On Ambedkar Jayanti, Let’s Reflect on True Equality

As vocational teachers, we proudly teach our students the values of equality, justice, dignity, and the principles that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar stood for.

But on the other side of the classroom, we live a different reality.

For over 10 years, vocational teachers have served with unwavering dedication,10 years of service, but also 10 years of discrimination.

While we work shoulder to shoulder with other educators, we are labeled as “company teachers.” Same classrooms, More responsibilities, Best commitment, but unequal recognition, treatment, pay, and respect.

Is this the equality we teach? @OmarAbdullah

We urge our policymakers to reflect deeply:
Equality must not only be taught, it must be practiced.

Following positive signs from the government, peaceful protests have been temporarily paused. However, our commitment to the cause remains steadfast.

Vocational Teachers of J&K will rejoin schools up to 13th April under a PEN DOWN STRIKE, standing strong in our demand for justice and fairness.

We urge @JmuKmrPolice to release our detained colleagues in the Kashmir Division and respect our democratic right to protest. These teachers shape the future, let them return to classrooms, not custody. Stop the detentions. Let their voices be heard. @CM_JnK @diprjk @DivComKash @BaramullaPolice
