Great thought provoking post as usual ser. Dumping a lot of often contradictory thoughts that this post triggered

-In terms of median household education/degrees/income stats Indians have always been at or around the top of charts, so nothing really new there? It might just be that the sheer number of successful folks in the US in tech media and increasingly politics and administration is thrusting a lot of Indian origin folks (and India) across the board into the limelight
-India also has a lot of room for growth in terms of inclusive development and raising the standards of living for those at the very bottom even though the last few years have been exceptionally good on this front, which you point out.
-Also, and this could just be an innate generation specific diffidence, part of the issue with such messaging, unintentionally is that it portrays the whole pie as a zero-sum game, where the reality is that the whole world benefits when countries and civilizations work together; This also entrenches the 'otherification' of the desi community in places like the US and the West. Do opinion and thought leaders do similar stuff for the Chinese community for instance. On the other hand it is definitely important to use your voice and platform access to call out obvious injustices and prejudices especially coming from the rich, the powerful, the fortunate, and the gifted
