Narendra Modi, Hon'ble Prime Minister, laid the foundation stone of the Inter-State transmission project namely —Transmission System for Evacuation of Power from Rajasthan REZ Phase-IV (Part-2: 5.5 GW) (Jaisalmer/Barmer Complex): Part-F, being executed by POWERGRID Barmer I Transmission Limited and worth around ₹2,735 crore (NCT estimations). This project will enhance the transmission infrastructure for evacuating renewable energy from the solar-rich energy zones of the region.

POWERGRID has acquired TBCB project SPV “Tumkur II RE Transmission Limited” for execution of Inter-State TBCB project for Integration of Additional RE Potential (2.7 GW). The project comprises augmentation of Tumkur-II Pooling Station with 6x500 MVA 400/220 kV ICTs, +/- 300 MVAr STATCOM, line bays work & 400 kV Transmission Line in Karnataka. After affecting plains overnight, storms have moved into Bihar and Jharkhand now, intense thunderstorms are on-going at a widespread scale in both the states. Later in evening they will move to west Bengal and likely to hit #Kolkata as well.

Clear weather conditions are back in Delhi NCR, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and is expected to stay sunny till late afternoon hours. Area marked in white over NW India will trigger fresh storms later in the evening today that will affect #Delhi NCR, #Haryana #Chandigarh and parts of #Punjab #Rajasthan #UttarPradesh & north #MadhyaPradesh during Friday evening to late night hours.
