Halfway through my mission, I’m saying goodbye to crewmates I’ve lived and worked alongside for the past four months. But they’ve become more than crewmates, they’ve become family.

We’ve shared challenges, belly laughs, triumphs, and something deeper — the quiet, unspoken bond that forms when you live and grow together in the most extraordinary of places.

Some of my favorite memories are from the unscripted moments: the unexpected funny story before a media event, sharing good space food at the dinner table, getting a haircut from @Astro_Ayers, or trading friendly jabs over our military service rivalries.

But what I’ll cherish most are the vulnerable, human moments — reminders that beneath the flight suits and flags, we are simply people, entrusted with the rare privilege of representing our countries and communities in pursuit of a shared vision: collaboration in space, for the benefit of all humankind.

Fair winds and following seas to @AstroAnnimal, @Astro_Ayers, @Astro_Onishi, and Kirill of Crew-10. I’ll miss you and look forward to reuniting at the end of Expedition 73. As hard as it is to watch friends return home without me, I’m grateful for the months ahead and excited to build new bonds with my next space family - @zenanaut, @AstroIronMike, @Astro_Kimiya and Oleg of Crew-11.
