Visited Dwaraka Tirumala (Chinna Tirupati) today 🛕 a truly divine and deeply satisfying experience 🙌

We opted for the ₹500 Antharalaya Darshan 🎟️ and were blessed with an almost no queue, had a full 3-minute darshan of Lord Balaji from closest view possible😍😍😍- words can’t describe the feeling.

The temple management deserves special appreciation.

- Parking is just 10 minutes away, and free electric carts are available to comfortably take elderly and differently-abled devotees directly to the Gopuram (my mom took the cart while we walked to the Gopuram)

- Entire premises are extremely clean and organised well. From there, it’s a short and smooth walk through the Arjitha Brahmotsavam chamber straight into the Antharalayam.

- The premises are well-planned, with separate counters for all services, along with cloakrooms and secure storage for mobiles and luggage making the entire visit effortless.

Dwaraka Tirumala is easily accessible, located about 2 hours from Vijayawada and 1 hour from Eluru, with direct bus connectivity. Road is good for people who are driving .

History & Significance 🙏🛕

The sacred kshetram gets its name “Dwaraka Tirumala” from the great saint Dwaraka, who, after intense penance, discovered the self-manifested idol of Lord Sri Venkateswara in a Valmikam (ant hill). As mentioned in the Brahma Purana, this holy region holds a unique and exalted position, spiritually adorned by the two great rivers of India, Krishna and Godavari.

Here, Lord Venkateswara is visible up to the bust, with the lower portion believed to remain within the earth. It is said that the Lord’s sacred feet are offered to Bali Chakravarthi in Patala for his daily worship. A full-sized idol of Lord Venkateswara, installed behind the main idol, is believed to have been consecrated by the great social reformer Srimad Ramanuja in the 11th century.

The idols of Sri Padmavathi and Nanchari Amma are enshrined in the Arthamandapa, facing east. 🙏
