@AskEnvici @thetrickytrade Air India flies Ex delta 777-200’s to SFO from delhi (AI173/174) daily. However AI 183/184 (3 times a week) to SF is on the legacy 777-200. Delhi-Chicago is on the legacy 777-300 not ex etihad.

@karna_ocw This has happened to me in the past. The terms and conditions of the policy clearly state that no credit card is being offered in return of the insurance policy. Yet HDFC Bank RM's are misleading customers. I know of two other individuals who were mislead by the Bank.

@HDFC_Bank representatives are absolute scammers. Repeatedly they are telling my friends to buy insurance policies / create FDs to get their credit cards citing company policy. When asked about policy and escalated with senior they fluster and cite miscommunication. Been a victim

Really bad press for the airline. Considering the geopolitical issues ongoing and Air India using Russian airspace for an American destination (second such incident in last one year) - this is likely to have a bad outcome.

Update #2: Air India Flight AI183

Air India flight AI183 of 18 July 2024 operating Delhi to San Francisco made a precautionary landing at Krasnoyarsk International Airport (KJA) in Russia after the cockpit crew detected a potential issue in the cargo hold area. The aircraft landed safely at KJA with all 225 passengers and 19 members of the flight crew, who have now disembarked and have been taken to the terminal building for further processes.

As Air India does not have its own staff at KJA, we are arranging for third party support to provide all necessary assistance to passengers. Air India is also in liaison with government agencies and regulatory authorities, and we are making arrangements for a ferry flight to KJA to take passengers onwards to San Francisco at the earliest.

All of us at Air India are concerned about the passengers and staff and are making every effort possible to operate the ferry flight as soon as possible, and to ensure the health, safety, and security of all while they wait. We will share further updates as soon as they are available.
