Dave Bautista as Kratos is a massive upgrade.
Ryan Hurst was solid, but Bautista just feels like the Ghost of Sparta. The size, the presence, the intensity… this is the casting we needed.
Who else is happy they recast? Or am I the only one who thinks this was the better choice the whole time?

California just passed a bill that can fine you $4,000 for filming potential fraud at immigrant service providers.
If they hand you a paper saying “you can’t post this,” you pay them.
They call it privacy.
It’s really protection from being exposed.
Should journalists and regular citizens be allowed to investigate this… or not?

@nickshirleyy@TerrySchanz California taxpayers are paying a Chief of Staff $208,000 a year…
And he spent his time printing and handing out “Nick Shirley has a small penis” flyers outside the Capitol.
This is who is running things in Sacramento.

@CBSEveningNews@CBSNews U.S. Army: “We’ll give you four days off… but only if you sign another two years.”
Soldiers: “For GTA VI?”
Army: “For GTA VI.”
Soldiers: signing so fast the pen catches fire
California just passed new tire rules.
Starting in 2029:
• New replacement tires sold here must be more fuel-efficient
• Your current tires are completely fine — no one is making you replace them • When you eventually buy new ones, they’ll cost a little more upfront
• But you’ll save more on gas (or EV range) over time
That’s it.
No forced change. Just better tires when you need them.
Karen Bass’s 2026 record:
• Homelessness went up again (more people living on the streets)
• Her big program (Inside Safe) spent hundreds of millions… but over 40% of people ended up back outside
• The same tent camps keep getting cleared, then come right back
• The main homelessness agency was so badly run that the federal government cut off its funding
• People say quality of life in LA is the worst it’s been in years
A lot of money spent. Same problems on the streets.
People act like the Maegan Hall / La Vergne scandal was some one-off freak show.
It wasn’t.
In just the last few years in
Tennessee:
Knoxville officer had sex multiple times on duty with a lieutenant inside a police trailer
Nashville sergeant and female officer had sex on duty and inside a middle school
Shelby County deputy got caught having sex with a court clerk in the actual courtroom while on duty
La Vergne was just the loudest one — multiple partners, on-duty acts at the station, the chief in on the jokes, and then a $500K “I was groomed” settlement.
This stuff keeps happening. The only difference is how many cameras catch it and how hard people rewrite the story afterward.
Florida vs California vote counting in one line:
Florida: Ballots must arrive by 7 p.m. Election Day → results mostly done that night.
California: Ballots can arrive up to a week later → counting stretches for days/weeks.
Same country, completely different rules and priorities.
@tandoorinightts Saying “I’m listening, I’m learning” after the fact is better than nothing, but a lot of people are asking why it took public pressure for basic safety to become a priority in the first place.
Accountability after the fact hits different than getting it right the first time.
@TRobinsonNewEra@JakeLang Watching someone walk into a city council meeting and say the quiet part out loud is still wild in 2026.
Whether you agree with Jake or not, the fact that this even has to be said in Dearborn tells you everything about where things stand.
@DiscussingFilm A SpongeBob x One Piece McDonald’s commercial in 2026 feels completely normal at this point.
We’re only a few months away from a Breaking Bad x Bluey collab for a limited-edition Frosty.
@Reuters I like how we’re all tuning in live just to watch robots stack boxes labeled “MADE IN CHINA”…
quietly taking notes on how they’re gonna replace us.
The future is efficient and ironic.
