The Indian Navy ship INS Tarangini (54m) arrived in Colombo after joining the search and rescue operations for the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena, which sank Wednesday after being struck by a US submarine torpedo.
India has also deployed INS Ikshak and maritime patrol aircraft to assist the mission.

🚨 The Sri Lanka Navy has started disembarking 208 crew members from the Iranian naval vessel IRIS Bushehr, currently close to Sri Lanka’s territorial waters.

The crew are being brought ashore by the Navy, while the vessel will be relocated to Trincomalee Port, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said.
