@BBCSport Just googled the likelihood of becoming an Olympian and apparently ‘Only about 0.0000017% of the world's population, or 1 in 500,000 people, will make it to the Olympics’. Pretty impressive feat!
@IrradiatedMouse Also, if you’re experiencing EBSA or some kind of other adverse childhood experience, bribing you with an ice cream at the end of term isn’t going to make you want to come into school is it?
@emmavardy2 Huh? What adult is giving this kind of feedback? Teaching art to my year 4s is one of my favourite lessons because everything they produce is amazing!
@thismorning The striking for ‘pay’ is REALLY misleading. It’s about the government’s woefull underfunding of state education; it’s about the lack of support for SEND children; it’s about schools having to fund pay rises out of their own tiny budget. It’s about making sure children come first
@missradders@j4yne Our rep has shared a ‘misunderstandings’ document released by NASUWT. It’s unlawful to refuse to cross a picket line if you’re with another union unless you feel at risk in the workplace 🤷🏼♀️
@goonerfm I think it’s pretty subjective tbh. My daughter had a regular Nationwide account and swapped to their student account (£100 given as an opening bonus) and it’s been great.
@Teacherglitter I looked through here for ideas when we used Flotsam as our Book week book. Some fantastic ideas so thank you and those that are trying to profit should be ashamed of themselves
@marymered I think the idea is that the new approach to differentiation doesn’t necessarily include SEND children especially those with IEPs. Rest of class should start at the same point but (eg) may need support, resources or may not complete as much work.
@Mrsbenders Well played (nearly). I just tell my class to be honest about homework as I’m not a massive fan of it in primary. Just tell me you’ve not done it, don’t really need an excuse. Read for pleasure and learn your times tables and I’ll be happy!
