I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to compete, showcase my abilities, and learn from the coaching staff at one of the nation’s top engineering schools. Every opportunity to improve and compete at a high level is a blessing, and I’m excited to get to work.

To all the student-athletes, job well done. For many of you, this may be the final chapter in the sport or activity you’ve played since you were a little tater tot. The early mornings, long practices, road trips, wins, losses, and memories were all part of an incredible journey.

My parents are 70 years old. My dad is my mom's main caregiver. My mom is on oxygen and in a wheelchair. Here they are in a steady rain last night watching my baby pitch to close a game.

A lot of ppl don't understand ⚾️🥎🏀⚽️🏐ball parents, but I was raised living this life. I was rushed from cheer practice to the ball park. My parents sacrificed their money and time. Their patience was stretched thin. I'm sure their marriage was tested.

I was poured into.

Ball parents are called crazy for pouring countless nights, weekends, and dollars into the sport. But for many of us, we're just pouring into our kid's dreams and enjoying the time we get together during some of the most important years of their childhood.

I was privileged to have parents who were more than happy and more than willing to give me THIS childhood.

I was privileged to chase and cart around Robo's brothers and sisters from ballpark to ballpark and I'm privileged to chase and cart Robo from ballpark to ballpark...all bc my parents normalized the ballpark life for me.

And here they are; still showing up 32 years after it all started with me.

I never want to know what my life or my son's life would be like without their love, support and sacrifice.

Show up for your kids.

Show up for your grandkids.

Show up for the kids in your life.

Normalize showing up in your family.

The future generations in your lineage will be better for it.

I pray that I get to be 70 years old watching my grandkids play ball in the rain.
