For those that don’t know me, I applied to about 100 scholarships in high school. The scholarships covered the vast majority of my tuition, books and fees. For the remaining $$, I got a job as an R.A and got free housing + a monthly stipend. I also worked various PT jobs.

This is called paid military leave. It’s a huge benefit offered to military reserves and national guard members. Many employers offer it. I talk about this in my book.

My sister left Walmart to join the military.

She worked there for 4 years.

She just stopped getting paid from Walmart.

It’s been 11 years.

Walmart had a stipend for military members. She got paid biweekly for 11 years.
