Was about to fly to Hyderabad on 28 Feb when flights suddenly got cancelled and I got stranded at Dubai International Airport.
What happened next honestly restored my faith in humanity.
We were given emergency visas, free accommodation, meals three times a day, and hotel stay extensions. We were even proactively called to the airport and handed tickets for an emergency flight to Hyderabad on the 2nd. I didn’t have to spend a single penny during this entire time.
Massive respect to the Government of UAE, Dubai airport management, and @emirates for taking care of stranded passengers so seamlessly.
Special thanks to hotel manager Saddam, who received us at odd early hours. Even though his hotel was already packed, he coordinated with other hotels to arrange rooms for everyone and still made sure we came to his hotel for meals three times a day, always with humility and kindness.
Moments like these remind me that humanity is the greatest thing to experience. Thank you UAE and Dubai for keeping us passengers safe and welcomed during a difficult time.

Deep thought: I think books and novels are arguably the greatest form of storytelling. While a movie or play shows the director’s vision, a book lets each reader create their own visual world in their mind. Every reader imagines colors, characters, and scenes differently, millions of possible interpretations from a single book. Kind of amazing.
