In my decades of public service, I have rarely been as angry as I was the day the damning inspector general’s report was released about the EPA's response to the World Trade Center collapse.
One of the most important lessons from 9/11 is that our leaders need to level with people and then follow through with actual results.

And so here we are. This statement from Trump blows my mind. That a sitting president would not let any renovations to a public building go on unless he gets to first put his name in the said building… What a sad state of affairs. What a tragedy. Actually, how small minded, how narcissistic. Actually
great men, devoted to public service and the public good do not act like this.
It seems that this man will not rest until his name is permanently connected to the name of a great president, whose memory this building was dedicated to. Imagine spending your time and your days focused on this, as everyday Americans struggle with healthcare, gas prices, rent, and food. Imagine spending your days focused on this, while a war rages under your leadership.
Enough said. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
OH. MY. GOD.
If you have EVER fantasized about what you'd tell trump to his face if you had the chance, Rep. Joyce Beatty just DID that.
He thought he was going to call her names. And he found out.
So good. 🔥 🔥 🔥

#BREAKING: Legendary #Maddow: “We are now about sixteen months into what has been from day one, a concerted and intense targeting of Black Americans specifically by this president and by this administration…When Trump and his top political donor Elon Musk then started just lopping off huge swaths of the federal government…the largest and most egregious cuts targeted federal agencies that employed a disproportionate number of Black employees. Reporter Erica Green wrote about this for…NYT: ‘…nothing had moved backwards in the federal government for Black Americans this quickly or this far…since Woodrow Wilson came in in 1912 and resegregated the federal workforce…”😳
COLBERT: How dumb do you think it is for people to say that I should run for president?
OBAMA: Well, you know, the bar has changed. I think you would perform significantly better than some folks we've seen.
COLBERT: Is that an endorsement?
OBAMA: It was not

Leader @HakeemJeffries: It's extraordinary to me that Donald Trump keeps recycling this 'low IQ' insult. This from the dumbest president ever to sit at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. And there's not even a close second
BREAKING: Barron Trump’s yerba mate beverage launch ignites OUTRAGE — “They hate immigrants but love their products.”
Barron Trump is 19 years old, a business school sophomore, and apparently confident enough in the family brand to launch a beverage company built around a drink that originates from the Indigenous Guaraní people of South America — people whose descendants his father's administration is currently hunting down and deporting.
Sollos Yerba Mate — named after "sol," the Spanish word for sun — teased its May launch on Instagram this week and was immediately flooded with comments that can be politely summarized as: you have got to be kidding.
"Oh wow, a family tied to anti-Latino rhetoric profiting off something deeply rooted in Indigenous Guaraní, Paraguayan, and South American culture. Yeah… no," wrote one user.
"Funny the name is Sollos Spanish words. Given Daddy Cheeto's policies, shouldn't this be called ICE or WHITE or something?" wrote another.
The company is headquartered near Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, incorporated in Delaware in December, and registered with the SEC as Soulstice Inc. with $1 million in capital. Barron is listed as a director alongside four business partners, two of whom took breaks from Villanova and Notre Dame to focus on the venture they founded with "a few close friends."
The branding describes Sollos as a Florida lifestyle brand — "capturing the full cycle of the sun" — which is an interesting framing for a drink with centuries of history among South American Indigenous communities that predates Florida's statehood by roughly forever.
The cultural math here is not complicated. The Trump administration has conducted mass deportations targeting Latino communities across the country. ICE has terrorized immigrant neighborhoods. The family has referred to immigrants with language we won't repeat here. And now the president's son wants to sell you a traditional Indigenous South American herbal drink, named with a Spanish word, out of a Palm Beach office near his father's golf club.
"They hate immigrants but love to steal their product ideas," one Instagram user wrote. "You don't want South Americans here in our country, but you'll gladly take their tea and make money from it."
Sollos did not respond to requests for comment. The Guaraní people, whose ancestors developed yerba mate over centuries, were not consulted.
Barron is reportedly spending his summer cooking up business plans. Apparently, the plan goes something like this: sell the culture, deport the people.
Please like and share if you’re sick of rich white Americans profiting from someone else’s cultural heritage.
Jon Ossoff: Think of the retired Georgia teacher who had paid over $100,000 into a cancer policy only to be diagnosed with cancer and have her insurance claims denied. This amendment will ensure that this legislation prevents insurance companies from denying or delaying medically necessary health care for the American people.
The President and his Administration have already failed twice in court trying to intimidate me, and he's still not letting up. Just more proof that he'll do anything it takes to silence those of us willing to call him out. I'm not backing down — ever.
Why isn't Trump talking about this every single day?
Wildfires are spreading throughout Georgia, with homes burning down, and 91 counties under a state of emergency.
Why isn't Trump attacking the Republican governor, and telling them to rake their forests?
Oh that's right. He will never blame Republicans for anything.
I’m leaving the Capitol at 4am after Republicans rammed through a vote paving a path for $70B to fund ICE for years without any reforms/accountability. They rejected all Dem proposals to lower your healthcare costs, housing, and gas prices. Spread the word. We need to stop this.
They paused Oversight Committee hearings the minute we started getting answers about the Epstein files.
Now it’s “roundtables”: no rules, no oaths, no subpoenas.
You do the math. Because the moment accountability shows up, they shut it down. The survivors deserve better.
BOMBSHELL CONFIRMED: The Supreme Court corruption scandal that was lingering from a year ago? We can now call it CONFIRMED today.
Chief Justice John Roberts' wife pocketed $10.3 million recruiting for law firms with cases before his court. He illegally labeled it "salary" instead of commission on disclosure forms.
Justice Clarence Thomas took $500,000+ luxury yacht trips, $133,000 real estate deals, and decades of private jet vacations from billionaire Harlan Crow—all hidden from the public.
Justice Neil Gorsuch sold a $1.8 million property to the CEO of Greenberg Traurig—a law firm with 22 cases before the Court—just nine days after his confirmation. He left the buyer's name BLANK on his disclosure forms.
Republicans: "The Supreme Court is impartial!"
The Supreme Court: a billionaire-funded cash register.
Three justices. Three scandals. Tens of millions in hidden money and favors.
This isn't a court. It's a corruption convention with robes.
Tell me again why we should trust these people with our rights?
The young people in our @ObamaFoundation Leaders program give me hope. One of those leaders, Luisa Neubauer, is working to fight climate change and recently traveled to Antarctica.
This Earth Day, I hope you'll check out her incredible story.
