I told everyone at the Frankfurt Bookfair, and I’m telling you too — the best new to English author we are publishing at @DeepVellum in 2026 is Tatiana Țîbuleac. Summer My Mother Had Green Eyes is out in January and translated by Monica Cure. Us in Paris last year.
We are so excited to have the incredible Monica Cure (@MonicaCure) at Oxford Translation Day as guest judge for the Oxford-Weidenfeld Prize 2025.

🇷🇴 In the latest episode of Stories from Europe, the #EUPL2025 shortlisted author from Romania takes us on a trip through communist Romania, the transition to democracy, and the link between intrapersonal relationships and overarching societal and governmental structures.
My focus on my first day at AWP was the Book Fair. It was especially wonderful meeting some of the good people working at the presses and magazines with which I've published (or am about to) poetry and translations!
