I use SPSS most times, I insert my citations manually (come at me), I have tried latex and prefer word processor; journal does their own formatting anyway. Happy to discuss my reasoning! 😀
Confessions of an academic: I use SPSS. I insert my citations manually. I split infinitives. I begin sentences with conjunctions. I might use a semicolon ten or more times in a paper. I also can't help but write snarky footnotes.
