@MichaelAArouet Hello, how would the semiconductor industry perform without European vendors? Maybe ask intel if they can work without Carl Zeissti to a start.
Such a brilliant move to put tarifs on critical supplyvhain.
But hey. It's just facts, why bother?
@davepl1968 There exists official statistics on how many generations it takes to move vertically in social classes. And guess what, it is not the most capitalistic societies leading that list.
But hey, that is just facts; why bother?
@codingfodder@davepl1968 Totally agree! However the only free update I expect are security fixes. Everything else can be paid. Optional subscription is also okay - could include stuff like one drive.
@davepl1968 And the only way to discontinue a product (ie. No upgrade path) is to open source it including build instruction.
This should go for every software vendor.
@MichaelAArouet And in the same periode the income on top 1% have grown larger thsn the entite middleclass income.
Result is exactly what you describe.
@MichaelAArouet If you can't see the strategic importance of being less dependent on the middle east I will suggest to open the news.
Or read a price sign in front of a gas station.
@johnarnold 1. This is to fight aristocracy. (where the oldest son gets all).
2. The FR law should not be used as an example of whole Europe please. The clawback part is crazy.
3. Agrees totally to the craziness but your post is opinionated and not facts.
@MichaelAArouet US is the only country in this graph where healthcare is commercialized. So price and quality is determined by market forces. And if you try to fix it you'll be called out as communist.
@redpillb0t You are in a situation, now, that the 1% have same income as the combined middleclass.
In other words, you GDP increases, prices goes up, but the additional wealth is distributed uneven. Result is exactly this.
@davepl1968@navyhato With the increase of the US GDP it should be possible to get some consumer devices. Unless this increase is very uneven distributed.
