Caster Monkey

Amateur metal caster, rogue, dog bus driver.

For #monkeyshines2025, Year of the Snake, I modeled and cast the Aztec feathered serpent Quetzalcoatl!

Let me know if you find one! If you think someone else would appreciate it more, feel free to rehide. Just let me know if you do.

Enjoy!

@EmeraldCityHky I wonder if Merzlikins' M-NTC was a factor.

[Caster Monkey @monkeycaster1]

@sound_hockey What are you looking for in CV this season?

[Caster Monkey @monkeycaster1]

@sound_hockey Are those the Royale Tiger Towel paper towels?

[Caster Monkey @monkeycaster1]

@sound_hockey Brings me back to Matty's first penalty!

[Emerald City Hockey @EmeraldCityHky]

Matty Beniers takes the first penalty of his NHL career- for knocking Anthony Mantha's stick into the netting. #SEAKraken

@Lefthanded_Hero I don't know. There were a bunch of people scouring the front of the park! Haha We almost turned back, but we weren't convinced any of the birdhouses constituted a blue tree. Lol

[Caster Monkey @monkeycaster1]

@Lefthanded_Hero Feel free to use it wherever! I just commented in r/Tacoma. It's a bit more 3 dimensional, so hopefully the naysayers have a little less to work with. Lol

[Caster Monkey @monkeycaster1]

@FumingMonkeys Congratulations!

Great color! I bet that one looks really cool backlit!

[Caster Monkey @monkeycaster1]

@4eyedmonkey2 @ACrazyFamilyMan I regret running out so soon this year! I made the most I ever have, but still. Lol

[Caster Monkey @monkeycaster1]

@ACrazyFamilyMan Fair enough. Lol Well congrats!

Rehides don't bother me personally. At the end of the day I'd rather it end up in the hands of someone excited about it!

[Caster Monkey @monkeycaster1]

@ACrazyFamilyMan Ha! That's funny! Where was it, if you don't mind me asking?

[Caster Monkey @monkeycaster1]

@drops_art It is! It's amazing and shocking every time! Even when you get a gut feeling that winds up being right, it still feels like an accident. Haha

We were definitely starting to get nervous when we finally found ours this year. Lol It's such a wave of joy and relief!

[Caster Monkey @monkeycaster1]

What an awesome day! We found an official Grant rogue and a medallion this morning!

We agonized for a while over which glass to keep, but we wound up re-hiding this one. We're feeling super grateful today. 😊

#monkeyshines2025

[Caster Monkey @monkeycaster1]

@drops_art We wound up keeping the second one, which we found like 5 minutes after the first! Not like it was intentional or anything, but I bet we were heading the same direction as the hider.

These two were the following weekend, our first two stops of the day! Honestly shocking!

[Caster Monkey @monkeycaster1]

@virginiamaroney @ChaoticMonkey Aww, man! We were really hoping for one of those! So cool!

[Caster Monkey @monkeycaster1]

@RNmonkey253 Wow! What a statement piece! Congratulations!!

[Caster Monkey @monkeycaster1]

@4BarrelOMonkeys We can't either! I mean we definitely put ourselves out there, but as far as the official finds go, it was two fluky runs of luck! I told someone last weekend, it always feels like an accident!

[Caster Monkey @monkeycaster1]

@lkjglkjbkblkl @Sister_Monkeys Speaking for ourselves, there are almost always people around and it's hard to rehide without giving it away to onlookers. But we always end the day with one piece of glass.

We could not post new finds, but I love seeing the glass others find and I bet others feel the same.

[Caster Monkey @monkeycaster1]

Oh, one last shoutout! Both days we found glass this year I was wearing my @MamaChaos3 Flashlight People shirt from Year of the Tiger!

I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.
