The man on GB News last night advocating for “pro Russian voices” to be thrown in jail, including people saying “don’t go to war for Burnham” has been revealed as Paul Richards.

Richards is Treasurer of the Fabian Society and has previously served as a Labour special adviser.

Just think about that.

A senior figure within Labour was on national television talking about locking ordinary British people up for voicing opposition to war.

People should be extremely concerned when influential political figures start talking so casually about imprisoning people for opposing the government and opposing a war.

This is a threat to our freedom of speech and democracy.

There is a cover-up at the heart of Government.

Angela Rayner appointed five individuals to a Working Group tasked with drafting the official definition of Islamophobia — now repackaged as “anti-Muslim hostility”.

At the start of the year, the Free Speech Union exposed that all five had previously supported the need for an Islamophobia definition and had troubling links to Islamist organisations.

These included the Muslim Council of Britain and MEND — both of which successive governments have maintained a policy of non-engagement with since 2009.

If that was not bad enough, Shadow Justice Secretary Nick Timothy’s FOI request has revealed that the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government deleted all responses to the Working Group’s consultation — submissions that helped shape what is now, in effect, an Islamic blasphemy law.

Will Garton, the top civil servant at MHCLG, has now launched an investigation into what was going on in Rayner’s department.

He also said no ministers directed officials to delete the responses — seemingly in breach of the Government’s own data policy.

So who is in charge at the Communities Department?

Did Islamists influence the drafting of the definition?

The Islamophobia definition has had a chilling effect on free speech and has already been weaponised to silence those who criticise, debate, challenge or mock Islam.

The Government’s plan to slash our right to a trial by jury is still very much on the table.

While Andy Burnham is poised to scrap plans for judge-only courts, ministers are still planning to remove defendants’ historic right to elect for a jury trial in the Crown Court for either-way offences.

Ministers are using the same flawed logic to defend their plans, claiming this is the most effective way to reduce the Crown Court backlog of 80,000 cases.

There is still no evidence to support this misguided claim. The Institute for Government has said these reforms would save only 2% of Crown Court time — not the 20% promised by ministers.

FSU research has shown that those charged with speech-related offences are almost twice as likely to be acquitted in a Crown Court with a jury than in a magistrates’ court without one.

The Free Speech Union isn’t giving up the fight.

Who helped shape Labour’s new Islamophobia definition?

Ministers refused to answer. Then they said the records had been deleted, despite rules requiring them to be retained.

19-year-old Philippine Le Noir de Carlan, a brilliant student and scout leader, went for a walk in Paris during lunchtime.

In what should have been a safe part of the city, Philippine crossed paths with Taha Oualidat. This 22-year-old Moroccan was already convicted of rape and should have been in prison — but wasn’t.

Oualidat had also received a deportation order but this too wasn’t brought into effect because Morocco refused to accept him back. After Morocco's refusal, a French judge ordered Oualidat's release from the immigration detention centre where he was held.

Two weeks after his release, on September 20th 2024, Oualidat raped and strangled Philippine. The next day, after a big search was launched, Philippine’s family found her partially buried body in a park.

For Philippine and for thousands of other victims, we demand remigration for the hostile invaders and prison for @EmmanuelMacron and his open-border-cronies.

Man wirft dir vor, eine „rassistische Demonstration“ durchgeführt zu haben mit dem Ziel „schwere Gewalttaten und Anschläge in Deutschland zu instrumentalisieren“, um „rassistisch motivierte Stimmung gegen Geflüchtete und Menschen mit Migrationsgeschichte zu erzeugen“.
Ist das nicht widerwärtig? Du bist in Deutschland Opfer eines Verbrechens geworden und sollst einfach die Klappe halten, weil es politisch nicht in den Kram passt, offen darüber zu sprechen?
