Paracetamol acts centrally in the brain to reduce pain and fever perception, while ibuprofen works peripherally as an NSAID to block inflammation and prostaglandin production at the injury site, creating complementary effects. Combining them achieves additive or synergistic analgesia at lower individual doses, avoids each drug’s ceiling effect and specific toxicities like liver damage from high paracetamol or GI/renal risks from high ibuprofen.
Nishtar Hospital Multan must stop putting FMGs through an unnecessary OSCE for house job after they have already cleared the NRE.
When house job was direct, an internal test may have had logic. But now PMDC’s pathway is clear: NRE first, house job after. Re-testing only creates an extra burden for newly appointed, unpaid house officers.
Respect the national licensing exam. End this duplication.

My Advice to House officers/ Medical Officers/ Residents :
In the medical field, emotions alone are not enough. Never go excessively out of the way for any patient purely out of sympathy, because when problems arise, the law often looks at protocols and documentation — not intentions.
Part 1
The most important cause of why doctors are so easy to target is that our seniors at rank posts of VC and MS of hospitals don't own us at all
They turn off their eyes on each incident and don't take any legal action against the people who create mess in hospitals
When you are not aware of the context of the tweet. Don't jump in. A BA pass CSS qualifier AC insulted a senior grade 19 doctor, that too over something he has zero knowledge about. He was asking to override the medical indications of CT scan and do it anyway.
The conduct of AC Jawad Hussain Malik at THQ Hospital Burewala is being condemned at every forum supported by public point of view as well.Thank you everyone for raising voice against misbehave of AC Burewala & for taking strong stance for the dignity. Thanks
#WeCondemnACBurewala
To all lady doctors: if you face harassment at work, don’t stay silent.
You are protected under the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010.File a complaint with the Women Ombudsperson and let the law take its course.
Your dignity at work is your right
If this AC is left without any accountability after publicly humiliating a doctor on duty, it will set a dangerous precedent.
No officer, no matter how powerful, should be allowed to misuse authority and disrespect healthcare professionals performing their responsibilities.
The conduct of AC Jawad Hussain Malik at THQ Hospital Burewala is highly condemnable & is the abuse of administrative authority.Humiliating a female MO for not advising CT Scan being ignorant of medical protocols.CT scans are advised by consultants, not by administrative pressure.
I am unable to understand why these people visit hospitals. They have zero knowledge of medical affairs. In kuwait no junior Dr can advice MRI/CT unless it is an emergency but in Pak @AcBurewala is forcing Dr to write CT.
@MaryamNSharif is this your new punjab ?
@Kh_ImranNazir
Accountability shouldn’t depend on your designation or power. No bureaucrat should act above trained healthcare professionals in hospitals. If you had the audacity to wear a mic, bring cameras, and make a TikTok dictating to a lady doctor without knowing hospital protocols, you should have the guts to apologize to her publicly on the same account.
A clear case of workplace harassment. The conduct of the AC is creating a hostile and intimidating environment for the female doctor. She has the right to file a complaint with provincial Women Ombudsperson under the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010
𝗙𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗮 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘁:
This video has two parts, and together they explain why so many doctors choose to leave Pakistan.
Part 1 allegedly shows an ACP in Burewala, Punjab misbehaving with an on duty female doctor inside a hospital. Reportedly, she was being questioned about not ordering a CT scan, something that according to our understanding could only be ordered by a consultant, which she was not.
What stood out even more was the arrogance, tone, and public humiliation. Calling an on duty female physician “Bibi” instead of “Dr Sahiba,” recording inside a crowded hospital with a mic attached, posturing like an interrogation officer, while patients stood nearby, is deeply inappropriate. It raises serious concerns about patient privacy, disruption of care, and abuse of authority.
Unfortunately, this happens because many powerful officials in Pakistan, especially bureaucrats, behave as if they are above the law. In most civilized countries, such conduct by a government officer inside a hospital would likely end careers.
Part 2 shows the complete opposite. In 2011, a senior surgeon at Guy's Hospital publicly confronted then UK Prime Minister David Cameron and Deputy PM Nick Clegg for violating hospital hygiene rules during a photo opportunity.
The surgeon spoke up despite their power because patient safety and professional standards came first. That is what happens in systems where doctors are respected and authority is held accountable.
Compare these two incidents carefully, and you will understand that doctors do not leave Pakistan only for money. They leave for dignity, professional respect, safety, and integrity.

This picture is a slap in the face of patient confidentiality, medical ethics, and respect for doctors who spend years studying and training to serve people.
Allegedly, a CSS officer (ACP Burewala) entered a hospital (THQ) with cameras and a mic attached to his clothes while patients were actively being treated, and then publicly insulted a female doctor while recording the entire scene.
Hospitals are not movie sets or political stages. Patients deserve privacy, and doctors deserve dignity and professional respect.
Then people ask why doctors are leaving Pakistan. This kind of humiliation, interference, and public shaming is exactly why.
Absolutely shameful.
According to a shocking report by BBC News, 331 children tested positive for HIV in one single city in Pakistan, likely due to transmission through infected syringes.
These children were diagnosed within a single year in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Investigators ruled out vertical transmission in the majority of cases where mothers tested negative. Staff were seen to reuse syringe bodies (after changing the needle). Medical procedures were commonly performed without gloves. Some children have sadly died of complications of HIV, and the fate of many remains unclear.
An important learning point was found - a syringe contains a needle connected to the syringe body. Even if you change the needle, the syringe body can still be a reservoir for infection. If you see this in your practice, please point it out, as this can avoid an unnecessary tragedy.
