@olson_dan I haven’t seen it that often TBH. My clearest memory of its use is in Homeworld. It might just be I don’t work on genres it is popular. In my mind its leans to RTS and RPG.

@Duke_of_neural @Noahpinion Its an important and oft forgotten point. Theories are hotly debated with the consequences thought of as clear either way. Discussing how the world will be shaped by an outcome of the theory ahead of time may inform us if the theory is really that interesting to pursue.

@whitelebron77 @ebruenig False. We have no alligators. We do have crocodiles. Affectionately known as the saltie, they have been known to grow to 6’3” long and 2800lbs. They occasionally eat tourists who seem to disbelieve the signage prominently warning of crocodiles.

@ebruenig I have settled on this - It was a deeply flawed movie that did many things right. I think it broadly was spot on with the aesthetic, it had some magnificent talent for many characters, sadly the main character was probably the weakest. Sting was inspired.

@Enichan @richgel999 It is a strange question. As a mnemonic I think it works fairly well but you’re not going to understand what it means without some previously acquired knowledge and context. You could equally ask does anyone understand 3D without having to look it up?

@LewtonHeath @clairlemon Because the side effects of AZ were over reported and emphasised by the local press people got funny about AZ in OZ and the government pivoted securing Pfizer for the masses, leaving much AZ in surplus. AZ can be manufactured locally, Pfizer is not.

@mrcasualhipster @kvlly Sadly yes, it appears to have become a vague filler word to hook you into keeping the conversation moving until they know enough about their mark to talk substantively. Sad when a great word gets butchered to the point where it becomes a red flag.
