Jim Carrey on why Sidney Lumet's 'Network' (1976) is his favourite movie of all time:
"My favorite movie of all time is 'Network' (1976). I like the character of Paddy Chayefsky. It’s like a prophecy of what happened in the last fifty years. Every actor scores immensely. It’s phenomenal.
Every actor in 'Network' has an arc that you want to follow, and there were just themes that were touched upon in the movie that were just so incredibly deep to me. It was illuminating.
It was like when . . . I’m sorry, I’ve forgotten the actor’s name . . . wait, it was William Holden . . . okay, when he’s in the kitchen talking to his girlfriend, who he has left his wife for, and she’s going all over the place about success and how everything is working out great and all of that stuff, and he’s trying to get her attention he says, “You’re dealing with a man for whom mortality' is a real thing, for whom death is a real thing with definable features.”
Lines like that make you just go, Ah, God. Let me say a line like that someday. That so touches people on a real level."
('You Gotta See This', Cindy Pearlman, 2007)
“First and foremost, I gotta give the glory and the praise to my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. I wouldn’t be here without him.”

@MLGW@uofmemphis MLGW has plenty of time to hire social media people, but nobody - absolutely nobody - answers their phone # for customer service! Terrible company - can't get electricity turned on!!!!
@MLGW What's worse than scams? Nobody works in MLGW customer service - you call and wait 5-6 hours on hold and nobody answers the phone. And if you don't have electricity, you're screwed just like the guy above.
@LGUSSupport Terrible electric oven range from LG. I'm filled with deep regret buying it. Glass cooktop became easily scratched and black film dust comes off with wiping. LG refuses to fix it under warranty as they don't fix "cosmetic issues" . $1,200 down the toilet.

@LightBearer1984 Uh, sorry, owning 100% of a "song" that earns zero (0) is worthless. Owning 50% of a song that becomes a hit "recording" by someone famous is $ priceless. I'll take the 50% any day over 100%.
