@iam_preethi Totally possible have high fat calorie dense diet without junk. Your statement was craving junk =malnourished. Since Junk=highly palatable, it's an evolutionary response to crave it, not malnourishment.
@iam_preethi Genetics plays a part in how the brain responds with reward responses to these foods. This is completely different than using body awareness to notice how you feel with "non-junk" foods & then making different future choices. The Hungry Brain describes much of this research.2/2
@iam_preethi This has nothing to do w/ malnourishment. The body craves calorie-dense foods bcuz of how our brains evolved. Based off genetics, some indiv. have stronger appetite for highly palatable foods (namely high-fat high-sugar calorie-dense foods). We needed these foods to survive. 1/2
