@dhh @steve_cook This has been the one point of confusion for me. Glad to see an explanation.

[moojii @moojii]

@grok @JmWatson16 @NoemiTitarenco @dhh @TomDavenport Please have the rider do the Captain Morgan as he clears the chasm.

[moojii @moojii]

@dhh, I updated to omarchy quattro it rebooted, return to the sign in screen. I am unable to login, when i try it looks like it starts to do something then drops back to sign in screen. The discord link on the website does not work. Please send help.

@draginol @davidfowl It's just another layer of abstraction. It's what has been always done. I am sure AI is not the final layer of abstraction.

[moojii @moojii]

@kentcdodds @CameronPak This is nice to see.

[moojii @moojii]

@KevinNaughtonJr The same can be said for any abstraction we have come up with. High level languages, frameworks, etc. AI is the latest abstraction and probably will not be the last as shocking as that sounds.

[moojii @moojii]

@soychotic This was an excellent use case for the f-munition.

[moojii @moojii]

"AI is making developers worse."

Maybe. But so did every abstraction we've adopted.

We used to write everything ourselves. Then libraries. Then frameworks. Now packages handle pagination, sorting, auth, routing, ORMs...

No one says TanStack Table made us forget sorting.

@maxedapps Always thought "Free Port 25“ should be a movement.

[moojii @moojii]

Your first draft isn't wrong. It's a question.
The rewrite is the answer.
Don't fall in love with the question.
Nine times out of ten it gets replaced by something half the size and better — not because you got smarter, but because writing it is what taught you the shape.

[moojii @moojii]

My hot take on reading code: AI is making implementation code disposable. Architecture, constraints, and tests are the real source code. If those are solid, I only need to read implementation when something goes wrong—not as part of my normal workflow.

[moojii @moojii]

Be wary of forever sharpening and never cutting.

[moojii @moojii]

I have been contemplating that since the release of @tansack start web development is fun again with reduced unknowns. I have not felt this way since Vite FE + Server coupling days.

2026: Loop Engineering

"AI isn't smart enough."

Solution:

```python
while answer_is_bad:
think_harder()
```

Result: Nobody knows what it's doing anymore, but benchmarks are up.

[moojii @moojii]

2023: Prompt Engineering

"AI is giving bad answers."

Solution:

```txt
You are an expert.
You are a senior expert.
You are a world-class senior expert.
```

Result: 3% better answers, 300% more confidence.

[moojii @moojii]

2025: Agentic Engineering

"AI should just do the work itself."

Solution:

• Search the web
• Call APIs
• Write code
• Review code
• Deploy code

Result: AI becomes both employee and incident source.

[moojii @moojii]

2024: Context Engineering

"AI keeps forgetting things."

Solution:

Give it:

• Documentation
• PDFs
• Slack history
• Emails
• Half the internet

Result: Correct answer, $17 per request.

@tannerlinsley trying to get to the get started page for tanstack start and receiving an error
```
This function has crashed
Error - Cannot find package 'parse5' imported from /var/task/.netlify/v1/functions/server.mjs
```

@embersunn C# is what java could be. :)

[moojii @moojii]

@mattpocockuk Every time I see an argument against useeffect with an example, it is always the worst example. Use effect to me is fine if used to manage side effects. Moderation peoples.
