So many of my relatives are/were addicts in various ways (alcohol, drugs, gambling, hoarding, you name it), & I realized as a little kid that I needed to do everything in my power to make sure I didn’t end up like that. I still pretty much refuse to risk it.

I finally found something recently, but it took 6 months of applying to just about everything in my area (& some outside of it) to even land a single interview. Advancement feels like a pipe dream for a lot of people rn.
