@CryptoPicard@JoshuaLelon@eshear I believe it can be. Anything can be broken down into a learnable skill. Willingness to be better is the only prerequisite I'd say
For the longest time, I've optimised to be more high-agency.

gets me going every single time whenever I feel stuck.
It's based on how @eshear said he'd train someone to be more agentic.
@moorehn Correct me if I'm wrong but is this called executive dysfunction & is a therapist/external help necessarily required to solve for it long-term?
@catchvartan@JoshuaLelon@eshear For starters, if you continue to answer the following questions you'd atleast get a hint as to why you're doing nothing in the first place
@tactipus_ infinite feeds are one implementation of variable reinforcement. i was curious to know if/how we can design for that mechanism in finite container interfaces
a few questions i keep asking myself:
- why does spending too much time on social media make me feel numb to my own emotions?
- if the brain has a threshold for how much information it can retain, feel, and process, what happens once we cross that threshold?
- what is the physiological impact of the emotional numbness caused by being chronically online, especially through video content?
- if variable reinforcement contributes to the addictive nature of social media, are there ways to emulate a similar experience without relying on infinite feeds or endless scrolling?
- what are the signs that i’ve become performative, and how do i pull myself back into creating from a place of authenticity?
- what are some cognitively low-effort ways to create when i feel completely drained or creatively blocked?
Working on writing the big list of goals and dreams for the next decade which I'll publish on the internet on my 22nd birthday
If it's on the internet it'll come true <3
seeing so many people make creative microsites lately and many of them using open source materials, so i made a list of 50 public APIs and databases to inspire your next idea. lmk if you have any additions!
