mythology and history
are filled with tales of men and their glory,
and are twisted with sins of women and their bodies.
they have subjected women to lewdness
blamed them for patriarchal atrocities,
and cursed them to death for living.
can i just slightly brag about how the idea for the poem came to me unexpectedly? it was as if all the injustice that women have ever experienced from the opposite sex controlled my fingertips to conjure this piece.
i am ecstatic.

When we grew up with someone, it's hard to imagine them doing bad things, because we have this unchanging image of them. So we make excuses, telling ourselves that others are probably lying. But at some point, we have to stop patronizing them, and figure out the truth.
