None of this is canon, but it would add another layer to why her mother seems so detached and why Nobara grew up with her grandmother instead.

Nobara’s epilogue makes her relationship with her mother way more interesting than just “Nobara hates her mom.” Her line, “What you lacked wasn’t a sorcerer’stalent, but a parent’s,” is brutal. She isnt criticizing her mom as a sorcerer she’s saying she failed @ being her parent

Her father is also never mentioned, so I can’t help wondering about Nobara’s circumstances of birth. Maybe her mom had her very young, possibly as a teenage pregnancy, or Nobara was an unwanted child/born from a relationship that didn’t last.
