In a rare show of bipartisanship in Albany, @SalazarSenate, a Democratic Socialist from Brooklyn, with a shoutout for Assembly Member Angelo Morinello, R-Niagara Falls, for his help w/a bill.
Morinello, a retired Niagara Falls judge, is leaving office after a decade in Albany.
The Maternal Health, Dignity and Consent Act now has bipartisan support!
Thank you, Assemblymember Morinello, for your support on this legislation. Let’s get it over the finish line
Insane that a former president is tweeting about college sports while the current president is pledging genocide tonight at 8pm.
The inanity of top Dems in a single tweet:
Hey @AlaskaAir@HawaiianAir when are you going to implement 2-factor authentication or other basic security measures to safeguard customers? Breach happened to me this summer. All I can do to protect my account is entirely lock it & wait 3 hours each time

State Sen. Liz Krueger…said she’s perplexed as to what triggered the law’s reinterpretation. She said there’s no reason for the “immediacy and the hysteria” state regulators have caused.
“It’s like a government-invented crisis, as far as I’m concerned,” she said.
BREAKING: Trump’s new Executive Order directs states to treat homelessness and mental illness as crimes. Criminalization doesn’t help anyone – we need housing and healthcare, not handcuffs and budget cuts. #HousingNotHandcuffs
Our statement: https://t.co/YPJsrRXlJe
Predictable, but no less shocking or reprehensible: Trump just signed an executive order urging states to forcibly institutionalize homeless people, defund Housing First, criminalize encampments, and cut aid to cities that don't comply.
Doctors Without Borders, Save the Children and Oxfam International were among the 115 international aid groups that signed a statement describing food shortages in Gaza as "mass starvation," as the "Israeli government’s siege starves the people of Gaza."

What is it called when you “indefinitely displace” the members of an ethnic or national group @nytimes?
Yes, threats of ETHNIC CLEANSING has a way of undermining “ceasefire” talks.
All New Yorkers deserve to make informed decisions about their bodies, health, and livelihoods. That’s why I proudly co-sponsor the Maternal Health and Dignity Act (S845). Let’s pass this bill and ensure that mothers can give informed consent for their care.
“We must pass the Maternal Health, Dignity, and Consent Act to increase trust between patients and providers, and to ensure that the focus of our healthcare system is on providing quality care.” — @SalazarSenate https://t.co/AqVqqiNmqY

Soso Ramishvili was arrested for alleged petty theft. Under the bail reform law, NYPD could've given him a ticket to appear in court, but detained him. He died in lockup before any court appearance–a consequence of Jessica Tisch's regressive Broken Windows approach.
Win Rozario's fam, with @watchthecops & @DesisRisingUp & others, will be holding a vigil for Win next week in Queens (Thurs 4/3, 5:30pm) & calling for action on the NYPD's murder of Win. Please come & stand with Win's fam if you can.
Today marks 1 year since Bangladeshi teen, Win Rozario, was gunned down by NYPD in what should've been the safety of his home - in front of his mom & younger brother. Powerful @NYDailyNews OpEd by Win's mom on her fight for her son https://t.co/SwkU8S4AKF
