@jimmyITG@WhatTheADHD We went to keyless vehicles and entry doors. With 5 adhd-ers in the house, keys were a non-starter! They literally never leave my purse and my purse has a designated hook at the front door... also trackers on everything that's not tied down.
@AAAAAmberrrrr @tonnielle@ask_aubry Came here to say the same thing. Pregnancy hormones are no joke. She may have been carrying the weight of others' hopes and dreams around for years and broke under the pressure. This is her first parenting fail for this kid... there will be more. Hope she does right by baby.
@hana___anah We put in two sinks. A big one for dishes, a small one for prep. It's a weird luxury in a small-ish kitchen, but we love it and use both frequently. We're stockpile dishes & load the dishwasher all at once bc the kitchen is tight to open the dw door while prepping.
@StandingHannah Our kiddo is super into music, we sing instructions and information so he pays attention. Over the summer he has started humming original tunes. I sit outside his room listening to him piecing different notes together, trying out different combos. I marvel at how his brain works.
@_Bee_Leaver_ My daughter remarks on my lack of stretch marks after two pregnancies. Had to explain to her it was the result of luck in a genetic lottery. Didn't do anything special, just lucky. Tried to explain to her that they are warrior scars, not imperfections.
@TarnsEMR@adamfare1996 This makes so much sense! Our 10yo is blind and has ASD and he made progress in skills that we expected to regress during lockdown. Reducing his mental load absolutely made space for organic progression of development in areas like communication and self-soothing.
@therealmecfs @MsMegara @ask_aubry It's a good tip, our son is likely headed that way. Our daughter is very mechanically inclined and has some severe learning disabilities that she thinks will make higher level ed a nightmare. Sitting at a desk is hard for her too. But we're trying to help keep her options open.
@fenixsoulsinger@ask_aubry Our financial planner mapped out the cost to the family if each of us died and the other had to manage alone. We needed more life insurance to cover my share of the family contributions. It was shocking to my husband and helped shift the dynamic.
@tillymatilda529 I feel you. I held my 12 year old yesterday as they cried, told me "people are too hard". They were just burnt out from a group friend sleepover. Gently trying to help them understand how their experiences and needs are as unique as everything else about them.
@TorontoTeacherX @lakituthecloud @OntarioNative @ame_todd@PeelSchools The parents that sign up for a task like this are probably not raising the problem students. They're probably engaged, concerned parents of contentious students. The troublemakers won't care if those other parents are around, less able to institute consequences than teachers.
@Peter_Samuel_SF@milleresque @MikeRoseMDMPH So nothing.... nothing happened. How many vaccines had their approvals rescinded in that time period. How many vaccines have had their approvals revoked.... ever? They aren't any safer 1 day or 1 decade after approval. Time is a fools indicator of safety, next time try science!
@leap_tweets@DrEmmaKatz It was hard in my PPD group to talk about my MH because so many others were struggling with very unsupportive or absent partners. I always felt like I shouldn't complain or be depressed because my spouse was engaged and helpful, was sometimes told as much.
