Is there a move to grab hundreds of acres of land by Waqf Board in Vijayapura district of Karnataka just days ahead of Parliament taking up the WAQF Amendment Bill?

Vijapura district farmers make startling disclosure to @harishupadhya

They claim that multiple notices have been issued (see below) by Tahsildars on the instructions of the District Collector to register their farm land in the name of the Waqf Board.

The DC allegedly issued the instructions during a video conference last month.

The farmers are shocked as they have produced RTC and revenue documents dating back to 1960s and 1970s establishing their right over the land. The documents prove their continous possession over the plots of land.

BJP has slammed Karnataka Government for alleged "appeasement politics" to "facilitate land grab".

Karnataka’s district in-charge minister, MB Patil, hasn't rolled back the move but has instead assured farmers that no private land or properties "unrelated to Waqf" would be affected.

TMC removes Dr Shantanu Sen as spokesperson because he has spoken out against anti-social activity at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.

He had said, “There is a racket that runs in the college and if you don’t oil them then you get targeted and if you oil them, you can do whatever you want. I don’t want to name any particular professors but if you are in their good books then you can even cheat in the examination but if you are targeted no matter how good you are your Hons Will get cancelled.
