Hey fyi to people without diabetes, they are just straight up out of 1 of the 2 most used insulins and its generic version. Most insurances only cover 1 brand. If that brand is humalog, then you either a) pay $500+ for the other brand or b) don’t get insulin and, you know, die?

Yesterday, Eli Lilly announced that short-acting insulin Humalog and its generic Lispro are, or will be, out of stock. Big Pharma’s price cuts mean nothing if patients can’t access their essential insulin. #insulin4all
