1. a lie – not drilling for new oil and gas isn't our idea. It's from the @UN and @IEA as well as literally 100s of scientists who wrote to Sunak asking him to stop.

2. "We" don't keep North Sea oil. It's sold by private companies on the global market. The best way to rely less on foreign oil and gas is to decarbonise. Which we have to do anyway.

3. Only 26,000 people are employed directly in oil and gas. Yes, we need to provide support and retrain them over the next decade as we phase out oil and gas. Pretending oil rigs will provide employment for ever is not a strategy.

In summary? More Tory Lies.
