PHEM and helicopter medics are cool no doubt. But without properly funded and resourced rehabilitation services we are doing trauma victims a half service. Not many med-student bios which read ‘interested in patiently supporting patients through months of complex rehab’

The NHS is the endpoint of most health problems, & delays can make them worse, but it is not the cause of them. Health is largely socially determined. To fix healthcare, we need to fix housing, heating, nutrition, sleep, stress, cruelty, education, exercise, isolation and poverty

I support the nursing strikes 100% but am terrified about what it could mean for my patients. We need nurses and we need to value them more. In the first instance this means paying them more. The government don’t care about you but nurses do.

@SamGoodhand Conference poster - “project” = replaced paper diary for ambulatory care with an excel spreadsheet. Asked the staff they agreed was better. Poster accepted for presentation at a conference. A poster about a 4 column spreadsheet > paper diary.
