I remember asking a 3rd year teacher what she’s learned as a new teacher. Her advice: 1) Pay attention to the needs of your kids… not just the standards. 2) Talk through behavior issues… don’t JUST assign consequences. 3) Rely on your colleagues. 4) Take things in stride.
So many kids waited all weekend to see your smile and get back to your classroom. Let’s greet every child at the door tomorrow morning and show them each how very loved they are. 💛
The legacy of great teachers is not usually found in the lessons they taught to their students… but in the relationships they built with their students.
Good teachers are gracious with their students. Good principals are gracious with their teachers. The world is a better place when we are all gracious with one another.
