@Sindalf Sadly the number of people that are both good vibes and good prog is very finite
I agree with the sentiment but it clashes in reality if your goal is to clear the fight quickly, since a lot of the people that are both cool and great at the game are in groups already
why in DT did scholar get a skill that shored up its relatively weaker raw healing to supplement its already strong mitigation, whereas sage just got more healing/regen it didnt need? DW guys, we'll die to any real raidwides, but the tiny irrelevant ones i'll heal you up SO fast
turns out a shield healer who can't shield, mitigate, or provide as much utility as its counterpart is pretty bad
philosophia should've just been a "build stacks by gcding and spend those stacks for a big shield" like a shield macrocosmos
We're closing in on 20 clears of Kefka at this point and we've yet to see a single Sage clear. Even the unlogged clears don't have a sage. There's no discrepancy in parallel classes as big as this one and I'm attributing it to P5 Enrage Sequence.
@Regar_XIV If you're in a group with near-perfect prog and consistency parity, I don't think sims are needed. It's a lot easier to be anti-sim if you're in a group where you don't need to wait days, weeks, or months to prog after you personally learn a mech to wait for others to catch up.
@KarethCrestfall I never claimed prog time to matter, only prog parity. Whether its a 1 week or 1 year group, if some people are way faster or slower than the others, the faster ones are likely to not be enjoying or engaging with the process, and that's only exacerbated by no sims
@Paladinight0 The process is only enjoyable with 8 similarly skilled players, if player A learns a mechanic in a couple days and are waiting several weeks for their group to learn it, I highly doubt player A would find that time nostalgic or enjoyable
@king_of_games34 MMO monetization is just too fucked. Nobody new to a game wants to spend 200+ dollars a year just to play when they could permanently play another game for much less. The F2P+P2W or Subscription models are just too toxic for widespread player retention.
