"To qualify as Science a piece of research must be correct and reproducible. To be correct and reproducible, it must be described in sufficient details in a publication. To be 'published' (to receive a seal of approval) the publication must be checked for correctness by reviewers.
To be reproduced, the publication must be widely available to the community and sufficiently interesting. If you do research and don't publish, it's not Science. Without peer review and reproducibility, chances are your methodology was flawed and you fooled yourself into thinking you did something great. No one will ever hear about your work. No one will pick it up and build on top of it. No one will build new technology and products with it. Your work will have been in vain." 

What does that mean? Science is not democratic. Anything that is not peer-reviewed would be considered “pseudoscience” and incompatible with the scientific method. Peer review evaluates a study's validity, importance, and originality in order to serve as a filter and guarantee that only high-caliber research is published, especially in reputable journals.

Decentralized science is based on science. Science is based on peer-reviewed scientific publications. There is no science without peer-review. As such, there is no legit decentralized science without scientific publications. 

Many projects are recently defining themselves as "DeSci,"  misleading the users with some narratives, a token, and no peer-reviewed scientific publications. 

There's nothing scientific about these projects, and the term "decentralized science" is used improperly.

This hurts the works of actual scientists producing actual peer-reviewed science as well as the reputation of the crypto industry.

Sorry. We are fighting for legit science in the blockchain space, not trying to sell brands or narratives. Strictly discussing about what represents legit science here. Legit science is published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. And we linked a peer-reviewed study published on @SpringerNature, the most prestigious scientific publishing network. You may click on a paper from @BioMedCentral with confidence. On the other hand, as actual scientists, we are particularly cautious about non-peer-reviewed materials such as narratives, fairy tales, and fictional stories that are marketed as "decentralized science". Science is something serious. Without peer review, you are, at most, discussing glorified pseudoscience. And to depict those as decentralized science would be quite misleading.
