@TacosSaborAKat@_agnusdei3 I have family members who are russian and they support the war, no matter if their immediate family in Ukraine would tell them how the things are and how bad it is for them. Safe to say most support war or are indifferent to it until it won't affect them directly
@mehdirhasan We are not at fault your countryman fall into this cult and then elect a felon, yet we suffer from it and people literally lost their lives in Ukraine because of MAGA rise. It's selfish to demand not to build a communication chanel to this people then when they have so much power
@gooberbite@WiggerMaggot To be fair i think algorithm rewards creators who have their face on the thumbnail, so I imagine everyone does this bc it works and that's why you end up seeing it
@joosiepotsi I think the whole "Ukraine won bc of war" convo is not entirely false, but it always misses the crucial point: Stefania was the right song for the right time, it was the perfect vessel for ppl's feelings and solidarity they felt for Ukraine at the moment
@duatashaj Tbh I feel like Shum is so iconic bc it's one of the time thing, it was revolutionary in a way, now you can't surprise anyone with folk missed with a modern sound(at least in Ukraine it became veeeery common), I definitely wouldn't send Go_A again bc it would feel redundant
@eurotrashsash A have a Russian coworker who is a Putin-supporter(I'm a Ukrainian refugee with family in Ukraine) and I manage to be pleasant enough with her, what can you say ab esc participants with code of conduct and a potential hate campaign from zionists if they will be not nice enough
@ppllkkjjI@verityrf Again, it doesn't fully apply to Finland this year bc of how late they got this permission and no-one expected it anyway, but generally in the future I wish musicians who will be granted such permissions will be fully in or fully out and not this awkward 50/50
@ppllkkjjI@verityrf That's great, but if you want live instrument you need to consider those limitations and make your musician move less. You can't just play a playback when live instrument doesn't suit you the same way as vocalists can't just lipsync when choreo gets too hard in esc
@ppllkkjjI@verityrf Vocalists walk, jump and dance with their microphones, don't they? I think if you want to play live you need to commit and adapt your entry accordingly. I can give a pass to Finland this year bc they are pioneers and it was too late, but I think it wasn't very smooth bc of it
@ge_aldrig_upp Yes, but I also mean the literal stage design, because you might need to adapt your choreo, LED and camera angles accordingly which sometimes hurts the original creative vision that was created for a different stage in mind
