I’m a big fan of Sey Coffee, but one thing I find interesting is that there’s a distinct taste that seems to carry across batches. It can be a little overpowering, but I’d say in a good way.
Because of that, I’m almost always confident I’ll get something I enjoy, so I rarely hesitate when picking a bag. On the flip side, I also know I’m probably not going to get something completely new or surprising , which is something I do enjoy every once in a while.
With other roasters, I get a much wider range of flavours. Sometimes they really work for me, sometimes they don’t.
Disclosure: I’m sure plenty of specialty coffee people know way more than I do, although I also suspect a decent amount of tasting-note discourse is made up on the spot.
Curious if anyone knows what gives Sey that recognizable house taste, processing, roasting, or am I just imagining it?
POV: the backend is “coming soon” but you have a demo tomorrow, so you let an agent read your fetch calls and mock the API into existence.

@jonathan_wilke@vercel Vercel never misses… when there’s an opportunity to advertise. This is basically free advertising for Vercel, and it’s smart — can’t argue with that.
Maybe the POV here is: if this isn’t already your fault, there’s not much to promote.
@fatih I’d say accept them all. It’s LinkedIn, not a sleepover. I don’t think it really matters if you know them. More connections means more reach if you ever want to promote or share something. And hey, people want to hear what you have to say. Isn’t that awesome?
@coryalthoff Mostly yes. I think it comes down to how adaptable the team is and how well they communicate. For an early-stage startup, the savings from not having an office can also be pretty significant.
