@tomb337@williamsSAFC Imagine a Boro fan talking about the play-offs 🤣 whatever he goes for is pure profit. If he stays, fair enough. I doubt he will, because he’ll want first-team football. I think he’d easily be your best keeper
@PaulGallantNUFC Don’t worry, we’ll give him a taste of Europe, while you lie in our wake and have you wake up to reality. If he’s going anywhere, it won’t be to you, I take it Sir Bobby means nothing to you 🤷🏻♂️
@NathyC98@LewisDeighton17 This summer, I’d expect three or four quality additions and maybe one big sale - Sadiki or Roefs, would be my guess - but as sad as it would be to see either leave, that’s the model
@NathyC98@LewisDeighton17 Recruitment has been canny so far. The club spent heavily because it was needed. They also sold big. The money brought in for Jobe, Watson and Clarke was at its maximum. It put the net spend at something like £110m for an entire new team
@McLeeds68@LewisDeighton17 Sunderland got promoted with a team everyone said wasn’t good enough. The owner put his hands in his pockets - and made a crucial phone call - and proved the doubters wrong. If you think he’s not ruthless enough to do it again, you’d be wrong, I’m afraid.
And thank you
@tenchylad Ridiculous money being spoken about him. I don’t even know if he’ll be good enough for the Premier League. Saying rhat, there were a few Sunderland players who were written off before a ball had been kicked - Hume, Ballard, le Fee
@KarlJan59758579@LewisDeighton17 I just think making predictions when one has no idea of summer recruitment is daft. Everyone did it last season, and had us rock bottom on record low points. You might be right, but I think it’s far too early to call

@DrBabloo67@WadeSAFC We’d been a basket case the previous season. He had moved to Roma for £23m, and yeah it didn’t work out there, but to move to England to Sunderland in the Championship? Still blows my mind
@Capt_Fishpaste I’ve seen Hull fans saying “we have to follow the Sunderland model”. I’m not sure they can. I’m not sure any of the three promoted teams have the spending power needed. Leeds had a team half full of Prem players already and just needed to add, while KLD had a long-term plan
