@LoyaltyLobby I'm pretty sure this violates T&C between the hotel and @Hyatt , per @garyleff 's extensive coverage if shenanigans at the Rio Las Vegas
@iltimasdoha Sorry I think with my stomach so it's hard to think of other things.
Seven Grand (whiskey bar) is great.
The Intercontinental Lobby is on the 70th floor and gives you a great view of the entire LA metro area.
@iltimasdoha It's hard to mess the donuts up. The mom and pop asian-owned ones are all plain and have signs that say DONUTS is plain font.

@stusontier @digitalcoleman There's no ethical consumption in capitalism. Gotta pick your 2-3 big wins that you want to care about, and then just concede that you can't do much about the rest of it :/
@stusontier @digitalcoleman Exactly. I've been investigating furniture for similar reasons, and found that expensive brands in the US like Crate and Barrel, West Elm, etc. aren't really made more ethically / sustainably / etc. than any other brand, they're just offshoring the problem somewhere else
@digitalcoleman The sad reality of the modern world is that most of those $500 designer dresses are *also* made in Vietnam, they're just doing more a teeny bit more QA and a lot more marketing.
@laserpilot Thanks @laserpilot ! High praise coming from a leader of creative tech writeups :) I know you've been thinking about this topic quite a bit lately as well!
The most recent Creative Stack has a great section from @morphogencc that grapples with experiential design, creative tech and sustainability - definitely check it out: https://t.co/dTveoQLEtP
@ebroder Is it really "the whole internet"? I know that the image models typically use "curated" datasets like LAION-5B; somewhere I thought I read that ChatGPT was largely trained on reddit
@ebroder Also surprised that it absorbed being able to express it in native nastaliq rather than roman characters, since most Urdu speakers also speak English and typically use roman characters when typing / texting.
Anyone who can actually read and understand Urdu will find the translation impressive; it isn't doing a word-by-word translation but is rather translating metaphors into a close-enough English substitute
