It's also not that unreasonable I think to imagine a world where you are automatically refunded/paid for a train you bought a ticket for that was cancelled/delayed, especially as with etickets being scanned the operator should be able to find out if you used the ticket
There's no reason for this to require a user to search for the operator's delay repay page, and honestly while Trainline would find it annoying to build something to auto fill each of those operators' forms it's not impossible
The thing with this whole discussion around delay repay/refunds is that Trainline could certainly add a button to take you to the right operator's delay repay form, and the app shows when the train is delayed/cancelled so they do "know" that info too
