Did Jews really get "most of Palestine" in 1947?

Here's the math:

The British Mandate in 1920 covered ~120,000 km². In 1921, Britain carved off 77% of it, everything east of the Jordan, and handed it to Emir Abdullah. Jewish settlement: banned. That became Jordan.

So before a single partition map was drawn for what remained, Arabs already had 77% of the Mandate, exclusively.

Then came the proposals for the remaining 23%:

Peel (1937): Jews ~4% of the original Mandate, Arabs ~96%.
UN '47: Jews ~12%, Arabs ~86%, Jerusalem international.

Per capita, under the most Jewish-favorable plan Britain ever entertained:
Jews: ~23 km² per 1,000 people
Arabs: ~60 km² per 1,000 people

Arabs were allocated 2.7× more land per person than Jews. Under Peel, 6.6×.

The Jewish share was consistently below the Jewish population share.

Every single time.

The "disproportionate Jewish allocation" narrative requires you to pretend Transjordan doesn't exist.

I grew up on those words.

In Lebanon, most people around me wanted a free Palestine for a very practical reason — to send the Palestinian refugees back. The civil war that tore my country apart was ignited in no small part by the Palestinian armed factions who turned Lebanon into their launching pad. “Free Palestine” meant: free us from them.

In Damascus, where my father’s family lived, the sentiment was different but equally self-serving. Palestine must be returned to the Arabs, its righteous owners. No one asked follow-up questions. No one was expected to.

Palestine was central to Islam, most Arabs are Muslim, therefore supporting the Palestinian cause was reflexive. A non-brainer in the most literal sense — no brain engaged at all.

Nobody stopped to point out that Palestine is not an Arabic word. Nobody found it strange that Jerusalem, the supposedly third holiest city in Islam, is not mentioned once in the Quran. Not once. Nor is Palestine. The entire theological and political architecture of this cause rests on a foundation that their own scripture doesn’t bother to acknowledge.

What was actually happening was indoctrination. A systematic, generational rejection of Jewish sovereignty — and frankly, of any minority sovereignty. Jews, Christians, Druze, Kurds, Assyrians, Yazidis — the Arab world has been remarkably consistent in how it treats people who are different. We just don’t talk about that.

Instead, in the West, we talk about Palestine.

In the West, a civilization that has elevated human rights to its highest moral currency, the Palestinian cause has become the one exception to every rule. In the queue of human suffering, Palestinians cut the line every time. Homosexuals executed in Gaza and hanged from cranes in Iran? Palestine first. Women imprisoned in Saudi Arabia for campaigning for the right to drive — a right they were denied until 2018 — girls sold into marriage in Afghanistan, women erased from public life entirely under the Taliban? After Palestine. Political dissidents ground into dust in Syrian and Egyptian prisons, journalists disappeared in Libya, children starving in Yemen while their rulers wage proxy wars, entire populations hollowed out by hunger in Sudan? All of it waits. Christians ethnically cleansed from Iraq and Syria, the Arab world methodically emptied of every Jewish community it once held — a demographic erasure carried out across a century with surgical patience and near-total Western silence?

Palestine is still first.

So let’s end where we started. Free Palestine. Which Palestine, exactly? The Roman invention? The British administrative line? The British Mandate covered the entire territory of what is today Israel, the West Bank, Gaza and Jordan. In 1921, 78% of that mandate was handed to the Hashemite family — a dynasty imported from Hijaz in present-day Saudi Arabia — and became the Kingdom of Jordan, which it remains to this day. A foreign royal family, on the majority of historic Palestine, ruling it as a monarchy. Nobody protests that. No flags, no chants, no encampments. The remaining 22% was designated for the Jews, became Israel, and is the only part that any pro-Palestinian activist has ever had a problem with.

So when you say Free Palestine, you mean that 22%. You mean the Jews.

And free it from whom? From a people with a three-thousand-year-old documented presence in that land, to restore the glory of a name coined by Roman colonizers, a name lifted from the Torah, a name that has no roots in Arabic, no mention in the Quran, and no history as a sovereign state?

You are not chanting for liberation. You are chanting for colonialism — the Roman kind, repackaged for social media.

Free Palestine is not a cause. It is a colonial term, coined by invaders, recycled by the indoctrinated. The least you can do is have the intelligence to understand it and the decency to reflect on your position.

The Palestinian leadership — both Hamas and the Palestinian Authority — aspires to establish an apartheid Islamic state in which Jews will not be allowed to exist.

The Palestinian Authority and its allies (Keir Starmer’s UK, France, Spain, Ireland and Norway) actively promote the ethnic cleansing of Jews from the historic Holy Land, Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem.

How many Jews live today in Gaza, Ramallah, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen and most other Arab-Muslim countries?

Jews were brutally ethnically cleansed from nearly the entire Arab-Muslim world.
In 2005 Israel completely withdrew from Gaza, expelled every Jew and even destroyed synagogues.

Instead of turning Gaza into the Singapore of the Middle East, the Palestinian Arab Muslims voted the terrorist organization Hamas into power — fully aware that its charter calls for the destruction of Israel and the annihilation of its entire Jewish population.

This will be the exact fate of any future Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria, because the majority of the Palestinian public still supports Hamas.

Therefore, Jerusalem must remain under full Israeli sovereignty.
As the only democratic country in the Middle East where Jews live safely and minorities are protected, only Israel can guarantee freedom of worship and protect the holy places for all religious groups in Jerusalem.

Adolf Eichmann, a high-ranking Nazi and one of the architects of the Holocaust, fled to South America after World War II.

In 1962, he was captured and brought to Israel for trial.

During the proceedings, the prosecution brought in survivors from Nazi death camps to testify against him.

One of them, Yehiel Dinur, entered the courtroom and came face to face with Eichmann, who was seated in a glass box. The moment Dinur saw him, he collapsed to the ground, shaking and sobbing uncontrollably.

Years later, in an interview with 60 Minutes, journalist Mike Wallace asked Dinur if his reaction had been caused by traumatic memories from the concentration camps.

"No," Dinur replied. "It was not the memories that made me collapse. It was the realization that Eichmann was not a demon. He was an ordinary man.

Hannah Arendt, a journalist for The New Yorker, attended Eichmann’s trial and later wrote about it.

She noted that Eichmann was not a psychopath, not a man burning with sadistic hatred. He was ordinary.

That is what made him so terrifying. He was a man who followed orders, who did his job, who justified the horrors he participated in without ever questioning them.

All humans have the capacity for evil. We all have within us the ability to justify unspeakable horrors if the conditions are right.

The question is not whether we are capable of evil, but what prevents us from committing it?

Most religions restrain human evil. They set moral boundaries, condemning acts of violence, injustice, and cruelty.

Christianity commands its followers to love their enemies, forgive those who harm them, and refuse vengeance.

Judaism, despite its history of persecution, never formed a doctrine commanding global conquest or the extermination of non-Jews.

Islam, however, does the opposite.

When an ISIS fighter beheads a captive, he is not acting outside the teachings of his faith. He is following the example of Muhammad, who personally oversaw the beheading of hundreds of Jewish men in Medina.

When Hamas terrorists slaughter Israeli families, they are not betraying Islam, they are fulfilling the doctrine of jihad, which commands war against non-Muslims until Islam dominates the world.

Unlike Christianity, which calls for self-sacrifice, Islam calls for sacrificing others. Unlike Judaism, which focuses on preserving its own people, Islam commands the subjugation or destruction of all who reject it.

We all have the potential for evil. But the difference between a person who commits atrocities and one who does not is the belief system that shapes them.

A Christian who commits murder is violating his faith. A Muslim who kills an apostate is fulfilling his.

A Buddhist who wages war is going against the teachings of his religion. A jihadist who slaughters unbelievers is doing exactly what his religion commands.

The Nazis did not commit genocide because they were born different from us. They did it because they were indoctrinated into an ideology that justified mass murder.

The same is true for every Hamas terrorist, every suicide bomber, every ISIS militant.

Their faith tells them that their victims are not innocent, not human, not worthy of mercy. And so, they kill without hesitation.

The reality is, Islam is the only major religion that actively commands the atrocities we fear. It is the only faith where genocide, subjugation, and violence are not historical accidents, but divine commandments.

It is a mistake to think Islam is just another religion, rather than the most dangerous ideology the world has ever known.
